I have a PS3IR+PWR collecting dust.  Still works great (but the power ON/OFF feature doesn't work obviously since Sony updated the PS3 firmware).  You can just cut off the power control wire (verified by Mike) and it will work just like the standard PS3IRX1.  Asking $15.00 including UPS shipping to continental US.
