Just wanted to say that I got my PS3 Ir PRO up and running this friday. I am using a URC Mx 810 remote and everything seems to be working well. I haven't programmed a macro for powering it off yet, but it powers up fine, and powering down isn't a big problem and not a concern for me. I'm very happy with it. I had my home theater installed for me, and the installers were impressed as well and took your information Mike, so hopefully they'll provide you with further business. My one suggestion would be to modify the casing so that you have the option to mount it onto a wall. All my equipment (plugs and cords, IR blaster etc) is hidden behind the wall and accessed from the other side. It would be nice to be able to screw the PS3 IR Pro into the wall as well. Other than that I love it, thanks for all your hard work and good job!

Go to the local Home Depot (or any other hardware store) and purchase some heavy duty velcro and attach it with that.  This will enable you to remove the device easily for firmware upgrades and other fun stuff.

I also received my Pro (about a week ago) and finally had time yesterday to install it.  As mentioned in another thread I used the IR2BT codeset for my Harmony 880 and it powers down and up perfectly.  Once I finish my home theater I will be moving my PS3 there and will be programming my RTI T2-C and will check the CML list Mike posted then.

I did have a little bit of issue getting the Pro to register so I connected it directly to the PS3 with a controller cable and it finally worked.  I then used a Motorola charger for a Bluetooth H500 headset to power the Pro and it works flawlessly.

Thanks Mike...

Yeah, that's true and a good idea.  I'll probably do that.  I just thought it might be an easy something else to add a couple of screw holes to the casing if it swings into mass production.  (easy is of course a relative term:)

I got the PRO working easily, but the IR2BT does not consistantly power off the PS3 (Harmony 880). Everything else works well and I am very pleased with the PRO. It would be nice if the power off worked as well, altho that is not critical.

If anyone has any ideas about the power off function for the Harmony, please let me know

I have the 890, and the power off macro only works about 50% of the time for me, too. I've tried adjusting sensitivity, repeat, and delays, but can't seem to get it right.

not sure what the problem is...I use the 880 and used the IR2BT and have no problems with the power macro's.  I did nothing special when adding this.  One thing you may want to try is that your remote is pointed directly at the Pro.  Until the clear window upgrade is released you could have an IR directional issue.  Other than that it may be a question for Mike.

I just wanted to say the PRO is the greatest thing ever!

Well that's probably overstating it...a little.  For some reason I cannot explain, being able to control all my devices from a single remote (I use a Harmony 880) brings a smile to my face every time I use my home theater.

The set up was flawless.  It took me longer to reconfigure the remote to my liking than it did to set up the PRO.

I have only one minor suggestion.   It would be nice if the unit had a power LED (it could be mounted on the rear).  I had to experiment a bit before finding a USB port that was hot when even when it's associated device was in standby.

I agree that a power LED should be included. It's on the list to get included as the product evolves.
