Do people ever get tired of Bitching?  I know I am tired of reading it.  I just received my product, which I bought used on eBay, and I love it.  I did my research first and found out everything that people are complaining about before I purchased the product.  I hooked up quick to my PS3 and I only had minor issues setting up my Harmony 880, but nothing I didn't enjoy working thru.  Come on this is the perfect fix for the PS3.  I appreciate the product.  And wish more people would be thankfull for a solution to an issue then complain about minor issues.

Just ordered mine today and should arrive tomorrow.  I was bummed when I stared reading the forums here. Seems other forums people are much happier.

Anyway, hopefully I am not going to be one of those complainers.  Seems like the right product since it is F/W upgradeable, as long as these guys stay in business  Smiley

I can only tell you I am happy with mine.  I have a Harmony 880 remote and I ended up using ir2bt's profile that Harmony has in their database.  I made a few adjustments for my own personal preference and I have no complaints.

I would recommend you rethink using the IR2BT profile.  It doesn't have the power off command so you are stuck pointing the remote at your system for a few seconds while the remote sends out a string of commands rather than using the built in power off macro of the Pro.

If programming is a little over your head PM me your Harmony login info and I can log in and set it up for you.  I'm really busy at work this week so it might take a few days before I can get to it though.

For help setting up your Harmony remote feel free to send me a PM.

Include your model of remote, inputs settings for your TV, AV Receiver, etc., and any other setup requests.  I will also need your Harmony Login name and password (I recommend changing your password temporarily to 12345).

Thx for the offer.  But I am not having any issues with the way it is set up right now.  You know the old saying, "If it isn't broke...."  If in the future I have issues I will let you know.

P.S. It might sound stupid but, I am really enjoying my PS3IR-PRO.  I love being able to use just the one remote agin for my entire system.  Having the second remote always irked me.

Me too -- aside from a few power sync options, working pretty well.

The unfortunate part is (in line with the title of this thread), and this is no reflection on this or similar products, it's very annoying all of this is even necessary.  So I think a lot of folks, myself included, will come into this whole scene irritated that this is necessary, even though having these options is really nice.

Agreed Sony has made a great product, but they really dropped the ball by not including a ir sensor.  I think it was a way for them to make just a little more money off of people by having a proprietary (sp) remote.  But what do you expect from Sony, check out their business model, they have always tried to sucker consumers in to buying their proprietary products like their version of the SD card and if you have ever purchased one of their camera's they don't use a standard USB rather a proprietary connection.  It drives me nuts.  However when I bought my PS3 it was the least expensive way to get a high definition player, and I think I heard Sony lost about $400 for each initial PS3 they sold.  I didn't care much about the games at the time of my purchase, but I will admit I have purchased and played a few games since buying the console, so I guesse Sony know what they are doing.

I think it's my fault this forum has a large share of criticism on it. I just don't have the heart or the time to edit out the silly stuff. And I let everyone start their own threads. I would love to channel it to a few relevant threads.
