What is discrete ON for PS3?
« on: February 11, 2010, 10:23:42 AM »
I found the post with the excel sheet with HEX codes that I can convert for use with a URC remote control (MX-880) but I do not see anything for discrete ON.  What is the discrete ON for PS3?

Discrete On is not supported on the PS3IRX1. For the PS3IR-500 and PS3IR-1000, the codes for Discrete On are available in the spreadsheets posted in their respective boards.

Um, the obvious answer would be "to power on the PS3". We have a separate infra-red code for Discrete On, but the command send to the PS3 is the same as "Clear". In most cases, it doesn't do anything if the PS3 is already powered on. However, if the PS3 is in standby mode, it'll power on.
