Infrared input port (green connector) and Pronto IR-extender
« on: November 09, 2009, 07:58:07 PM »
My PS3-IR-Pro (formware V1.09) has been working fine for months, using an IR blaster from a Pronto RU990.

The LI-910 blaster has four 3.5mm IR output jacks.

- I plugged the first one into the 3.5mm IR input jack of my AV receiver, and it worked fine.
- I tried to plug the second one to the green connector at the back of my PS3-IR-pro, and I get nothing.
- I tried to reverse the jack polarity, and got nothing again.

Is the IR input port active ?

What peak voltage are you getting across the green connector terminals? The PRO needs between 3 and 12 Volts. Alternately, you can use an IR flasher and place it in front of the PRO.

Alternately, you can upgrade to the PS3IR-500... :)

Thanks for your answer.

I'm currently using the LED flasher stuck to the PS3IR-PRO, and its working fine.
I ordered a new IR cable. I'll check the voltage I get as soon it gets delivered.
