Macro for PS3 HDMI or Component outputs
« on: December 20, 2008, 12:02:38 PM »
Is there a macro to switch between outputs on the PS3? I use the HDMI output to a projector and the component output to the TV and you need to see both screens to complete the switch which makes it diffucult. It would be nice to have one macro to switch from HDMI to Component and another macro to switch from Component to HDMI.

Not as far as I know.  It would be pretty difficult to do also, because the XMB keeps track of your previous cursor location, so you can't really know where the cursor will be starting from to figure out how to move it.
For help setting up your Harmony remote feel free to send me a PM.

Include your model of remote, inputs settings for your TV, AV Receiver, etc., and any other setup requests.  I will also need your Harmony Login name and password (I recommend changing your password temporarily to 12345).

You can 'reset' the initial XMB location to the bottom of the Settings menu by going left a bunch a times, go to the right one time, then down a bunch of times.  Then you'll need 4 times up (Display Settings), X, up at least 5 times to make sure you're on Video Output Settings... etc. :)
