PS3IR-1000 / Re: PS4 Anyone?
« Last post by darkcloud99 on December 09, 2013, 05:26:30 PM »
I would also like to know if there is any future updates planned that would allow this device to work on the PlayStation 4. I have made previous posts on how I use this device and software  to play games because I am disabled.  Sometime in the future I would like to purchase a PlayStation 4, but without knowing if I could control it properly  I will not buy one.

EDIT* I just noticed the post on the front page about Sony not allowing  third-party creations to work. That is extremely disappointing on their part.
PS3IR-1000 / PS4 Anyone?
« Last post by jeremykay on November 17, 2013, 06:33:56 PM »
I have a PS3IR-1000 and absolutely love it!  I just got at PS4 and it appears none of the IR converters on the market (including this product) work with it.  Is there a software upgrade planned for the PS3IR-1000?  Or a new product launch in the works?
PS3IR-PRO / Re: Trouble pairing with new PS3

There is not an easy way to view the firmware level with the PRO.  I can update it and verify correct operation very easily with the factory tools. I realize it is inconvenient to operate your PS3 w/o the IR interface but I can turn the PRO around in one day at the factory.

On you can find our Round Rock address in the "contact us" link.  Make sure to enclose a return address inside the package - the post office usually renders return address unreadable.

PS3IR-PRO / Re: Trouble pairing with new PS3

Ok great, thank you Lynn.  Do different PS3 models require a newer firmware revision for the PS3IRPRO?  My "new" PS3 isn't really very new, it's model CECHK01 (80gb 'fat' model). The previous one was a CECHA01(60gb 'fat' model).

I'm kind of stumped because everything was working great, and literally the only thing that I changed in my setup is the PS3 system itself.  I'm using the same remote (Harmony 900), same PS3IRPRO, same USB power supply, even all the same cabling for the PS3 (power/network/HDMI).

Is there a way for me to tell which firmware version is presently on the PS3IRPRO?

Thanks much,

p.s. sorry for the spelling/typos in my initial post, I was typing from my phone. :)

The PS3IR-PRO should pair with any model PS3, there have been no changes in he Blue Tooth pairing interfaces.

The procedure you described is correct for the most recent PRO firmware.

If you would send me your device, I will upgrade it and test the pairing.  You can find our address on our website.  Make sure to enclose your return address.  The return address on packages is frequently unreadable.

PS3IR-PRO / Trouble pairing with new PS3
« Last post by onecoolmint on October 24, 2012, 11:36:14 PM »
Hi guys,
I recently had to replace my PS3 because the old one died.
I've been using my ps3irpro for several years and it has always worked great. But for some reason I am unable to get the new ps3 to pair with it.

I've confirmed that my usb power supply is good, and done several attempts at pairing but no luck.
I do have the Sony bd remote and it is able to pair correctly.

Are there certain models that the ps3irpro won't work with?

My steps are:
1. Go to "register bd remote" in the ps3 menu
2. Unplug the ps3irpro
3. Wait a few seconds and pluthe ps3irpro back in
4. Press 0 on my harmony remote within 5 seconds of plugging in the ps3irpro
5. Wait for the screen to say the pairing was successful. (I never see this).

Any thoughts?

PS3IR-1000 / Yet another macro question
« Last post by sara.vallentino on May 06, 2012, 02:20:43 PM »
hello guys I have a three part question. Is it possible to infinitely repeat a macro created by the PS3IR macro editor, or is there a way to have a PS3IR macro run another PS3IR macro ex: (macro 1) - push x button, push triangle, run macro 2, push circle, run macro 3, all edited in macro 1? or is there a way to bind key to the key board.. I have not found any information on the forums about a macro loop, or having a PS3IR macro run another created PS3IR macro. I have tho found a utility on the forums for key biding but it comes with no instructions and seems to be outdated from two years ago located

long story short am trying to have more that 16 inputs

which would be possible if i could bind a macro to a key board key then create a macro with another program to run the binded PS3IR key
any assistance would be appreciated, thanks

You can definitely use a controller and the remote at the same time.  They work on different channels.

I want to use the ps3 virtual controller and a ps3 sixaxis controller at controe the same time. I will use the ps3 virtual controller to use the buttons and the Ps3 sixaxis controller to use the joysticks. I was wondering if this is possible?
PS3IR-PRO / Re: Can't pair with a new PS3

Wow, I didn't realize that it came with a lifetime warrenty.  Thank you for the offer, but I've found the problem.  It appears that at the same time my PS3 died, so did the 120V to USB adapter I was using for the PS3IR-PRO.  Perhaps there was a power spike.  Since the PS3IR-PRO doesn't have any sort of power indicator I didn't realize the problem.  I have replaced the 120V->USB adapter and the PS3IR-PRO works fine now.
